CPI Oil Water Separator
Coalescing Plate Interceptor (CPI) Oil Water Separator is an advanced oil-water separation system that represents an improvement over the traditional API Oil Separator. One of the main advantages of the CPI unit is its compact footprint, making it suitable for installations with limited space, while also offering easier and more cost-effective sediment handling. The system incorporates Multi-Stage Oil Separator (MuSOS) technology, which utilizes a three-layer media configuration designed to separate sludge, oil, and water efficiently. These three layers consist of:
Coarse Media features the widest spacing and is designed to coalesce larger oil droplets (15–30 microns) while allowing the settling of suspended solids or sludge present in the wastewater.
Fine Media has a tighter spacing compared to Coarse Media, enabling it to coalesce smaller oil droplets in the range of 5–15 microns for more refined separation.
JukOS Media is made from oleophilic material and functions as the final polishing layer. It captures residual oil that passes through the coarse and fine media, ensuring that the effluent water from the outlet meets oil-free conditions or reaches the desired minimum oil content level.
