Belt Skimmer
Belt Oil Skimmer is a specialized oil-water separator that uses a rotating oleophilic belt to lift floating oil from the surface of water. The belt works on the principle of selective adhesion—attracting oil while repelling water—making it highly effective for free oil separation in various industrial applications.
How It Works
The lower end of the belt is submerged in the oil-water mixture. Due to its oleophilic properties, the belt attracts and carries the oil upwards. At the top of the machine, a scraper removes the oil from the belt surface and channels it into a preliminary collection tray.
An optional oil concentrator can be added for enhanced separation. From the initial collection tank, the oil is discharged by gravity into a main oil storage container.
